Réka is a media designer and experimental-video artist. Founder of Connected Bodies Team, contributing artist at several projects.

She graduated from MOME (Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design) with a MA in Media Design in 2007. After university she tried herself in various areas, working in digital media and film production. In 2008 she won a fellowship in Kitchen Budapest, the innovation lab of Magyar Telekom. She has contributed to a wide variety of projects at Kitchen Budapest till 2013, first as their researcher, later as a media designer. She attended the Doctoral Programme of the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts earning her DLA degree with ‘summa cum laude’ distinction in 2016. Her research theme was Sensor based interactive installations within New technologies in Fine Art.

She was a senior lecturer in the Department of Media Design at Budapest Metropolitan University from 2010 to 2017, teaching Arduino programming, Visual programming language, and Physical interaction design. She also was technical assistance at Wearable Technology workshops in the Department of Design and Art at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in 2015.

In the last few years, she was mainly interested in human-computer interaction, object-based interface prototypes, and bio-sensors. Making the focus of her practice-based research. Her work has been recognized through performances, exhibitions, and presentations.
